Personal Ministry Training (PMT) in Wenatchee
Life’s struggles, stresses, difficulties, pain and trauma can disconnect us from others, God and ourselves. This is a lonely, disheartened place to be; isolated in a world full of people. Personal Ministry Training (PMT) is aimed to reconnect each person to life; most importantly to the abundant life God speaks about through His Son Jesus. We examine our heart and identify what are the things that shut us down. We learn to give ourselves room to rest in our struggles and give room to speak what we are experiencing in the difficult times of our life.
From this connection to our heart and who God has made us to be, we examine our connections with God and with others. These seem like simple aspects to life; however, we often overlook them. This class ministers to the heart God has given us (personal ministry) and gives us a place to learn to rest and be at peace in our busy, hectic world.

"The Genesis Process" by Michael Dye
The Gensis Process blends sound biblical principles, the latest understanding of the brain, and the author's 30 years of experience in the addiction field into an effective road map to changing lives. This book was written for Christians with the goal of making churches safe and healing places for hurting people. The Gensis principles and tools can help those who are willing to change, be able to change. Whether the issue is anxiety, anger, alcohol, food abuse, work, a critical attitude or struggles in your own spiritual life this unique process is easy to apply and simple to implement. Ready for a change?
Class focus: If you want to change the behavior, you must change the heart
Part 1-focuses on understanding and healing the wounds from relationships that are the driving force behind self-destructive behavior. You will understand why you do the very things you don't want to do through self-evaluation and the safe environment of a change group. Having completed the foundational concepts and tools from part 1, you will be prepared to do the deeper healing work in part 2, completing the journey to lasting recovery.
Part 2- provides proven principles and tools for obtaining lasting personal change. You will learn that the behaviors you struggle with are symptoms of subconscious sfear. Fear is overcome by faith and faith requires risk. These mostly subconscious fears are located deep in your heart and were caused by the people you trusted who hurt you. Part 2 focuses on exposing and healing these heart wounds, thus freeing you from the destructive coping behaviors they generate.

"The Heart of Anger" by Lou Priolo
Is it ever a problem in your home? Do your children ever speak to you in angry, disrespectful tones? Do they ever fight between themselves? Have you ever lost your patience and composure when dealing with an infuriating situation in the home? Well, if you honestly answered "yes" to any of these questions, you need this book. Christian families, especially those in which the children are home for most of the day experience episodes of frustration and anger. This new book deals with anger's root causes, offering corrective advice from a biblical perspective. Pastor and radio teacher, John MacArthur Jr., has said "This book goes beyond the externalmanifestations of anger and deals with the internal source-the thoughts and intents of the heart. I know of no other book that addresses this problem with such practical and applicable biblical wisdom.
Class focus: Extremely readable and practical book about anger, disrespect, and manipulation problems frequently encountered but
rarely addressed. This will be a practical class including your own personal experiences and role play with strategies to
deal these in a healthy way.
